What are the costs?

Final out of pocket costs to patients - effective 1 January 2012

The following is a guide to your final out of pocket costs (after Medicare and other rebates). Your particular circumstances will determine your final out of pocket costs.

 The above out of pocket cost includes the following:

  • The use of drugs to induce superovulation
  • Quantitative estimation of hormones
  • Semen preparation
  • Ultrasound examinations
  • Embryology laboratory services
  • Counselling

Please note: you will be required to pay the Repromed fee or the gap at egg collection. Your final out of pocket is ONLY after all the rebates and safety net entitlements have been refunded back from Medicare.

A $400 deposit will be required on day of drug collection. This amount will go towards your cycle fee.

Final Out of Pocket expenses will depend on your Safety Net status with Medicare at the time of the claim being submitted.

Day Surgery fees:

  • Whilst your Day Surgery fees are covered by your health insurance, Repromed offers a service whereby we contact your health fund to enquire if you are covered for this treatment and whether an excess or any co-payments are required.

  • Before surgery, we will contact you in writing to advise if there is an excess or co-payment required. These fees will be required to be paid on the day of your surgery. 

  • Patients without private health insurance who are treated at Repromed Dulwich will not be charged for IVF theatre and day surgery procedures.
